Slap on the Back

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire is available to
stream now. Psu and I actually saw that one in theaters together! We felt it
was a delightful romp where giant monsters fought each other and broke stuff
for surprisingly clear reasons! It was exactly what we asked for.

I’ve never heard so many Americans use the words “Shōwa era” to describe why a movie is fun to watch. As somebody who
remembers when it was hard to get your hands on kaiju movies in the west in the
first place, that’s heartwarming to me.
