Whiffleball, by the way, is not exactly the same as modern wiffle ball... what with "Wiffle" being a registered trademark and all.

It's probably a highly futuristic game involving artificially-maintained gravity wells, so you can play it even in the limited space on a starship! But mostly I think it's a sport you can enjoy in the Regency Navy without having to try to stab someone over a matter of pride. It's got a lot going for it.
